Covert support

• Assisting Offender Unit

  This Unit, which serves both SWROCU and South Wales ROCU, advises and facilitates the Assisting Offender process, including SOCPA agreements.

• Online Investigations Team

  The Online Investigations Team seeks to pursue those linked to CSAE, OCGs and high harm offenders by providing specialist support.

• Operations Team

  Our Ops Teams develop intelligence, carry out operations, and follow investigations into some of the most harmful or highest-threat OCGs in the region.

• Regional Undercover Unit

  The RUU oversees the infiltration of individuals, communities, and OCGs – in person and online – to help tackle major crimes, including child sexual abuse and exploitation.

• Technical Surveillance Unit

  The TSU, including the Technical Development Unit (TDU), advises and supports the use of technical equipment and covert methods for gathering intelligence and evidence.
