Western Balkans Regional Coordinator
The Western Balkans Regional Coordinator complements the Vulnerability and SOC Community Coordinators with a specific focus on Western Balkan (WB) perpetrated and enabled crime.
Services
Our Western Balkans Regional Coordinator is DS Anne McParland. Anne can:
- provide an understanding of WB crime types, perpetrators and methods and how this impacts the South West
- assist in the identification and mapping of all WB criminal networks to enable prioritisation and resourcing decisions through SOC System Tasking processes
- provide access to a national network of WB SPOCs, each specialising in different methods and tactics to assist with WB disruption
- advise on disrupting organised WB crime in the South West by facilitating connections with partner agencies and utilising a wide range of tactics, legislation and powers from across law enforcement
- provide advice in relation to and facilitate connection with GAIN partners and professional and legal bodies to tackle those who are professionally enabling WB criminality
- access national and international partners to facilitate specialist enquiries – National Crime Agency (NCA), Europol, Joint International Crime Centre (JICC), Albanian law enforcement, financial enquiries, etc
- assist with coordination of law enforcement responses across the region, including deconfliction across law enforcement agencies
- identify opportunities for tasking and debriefing of individuals to drive intelligence picture
